We've had many Art Deco era Czech pieces over the years but this set is in a class by itself.
The set includes a necklace and matching bracelet. They're made of coral glass beads, molded into rope-like rods. In between, there are stamped brass gilded flowers that are hand-painted enamel.
The necklace measures 16 inches around by 1 3/4 inches at center. It closes with the original screw barrel closure. The ring next to the closure is stamped MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA which was the customary hallmark at the time.
The bracelet measures 6 3/4 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. The brass rod ends come together...one inserted into the other...for a secure closure. One end is hallmarked (see photo). We can't quite make it out but the first two letters look like CZ.
The only flaws we see are the expected age wear to the painted flowers. Much of the paint is intact and where it's worn, you see the gilt metal which is nice enough in itself. Overall, this is a spectacular early Czech demi parure...in excellent vintage condition.
