We know that anything that came from upscale Lord & Taylor will be worthy of our attention. This fantastic belt certainly is. It's made of (and stamped) GENUINE SNAKE SKIN. The black belt has a nice gloss to the snakeskin surface and is only enhanced by the large goldtone buckle.

Oh yes, that buckle. It's a great two-piece buckle with a ribbed design and a center clasp that's decorated with a huge domed faux pearl (a tiny surface scratch can be seen through a magnifier but not with the eye). The buckle measures 1 5/8 inches at the widest.

The belt is marked LORD & TAYLOR - MADE IN TAIWAN - SIZE L. It measures 37 inches end to end as shown by 1 1/4 inches wide. This is adjustable and you can make it smaller at either or both ends of the buckle by just pulling more of the belt through the bars on the buckle back. You can remove the buckle to wear on a different belt or put a different buckle on the snakeskin. It's very versatile. This Lord & Taylor belt/buckle is circa 1980s...in overall excellent condition.
