Wear it as pin. Wear it as a pendant. This vintage Taxco brooch looks great either way with its mid-century shape and workmanship. It's handmade by A. Dominguez with inlaid turquoise chips in solid sterling silver. The surface of the silver has a brushed textured look.
The pin measures 2 3/8 by 1 5/8 inches. It's 1/8 inch thick. The pin weighs 21.5 grams. It's been acid-tested for sterling.
There's a nice solid rollover clasp and a bail that folds up for a chain. The bail is marked DOMINGUEZ TAXCO MEXICO with the EAGLE 3 mark. This artist is listed in the 'Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks' by Bille Hougart.
Pin / pendant is in excellent condition. It's beautiful and versatile.
