When the Beatles split up in 1970, we were shocked, dismayed, shaking our Beatle hair-cut heads, wondering 'how could they?'
We had just opened an antique / collectibles shop in Greenwich Village and the Beatles were among our favorite groups.
So we went wild and bought up every leftover Beatles items in stores and warehouses. We were sure there would have to be a comeback because without the Beatles as a group, the music world would collapse.
Okay...we were wrong. The Beatles went on to make great music, to each his own, and for all Beatles fans.
This original 1964 magazine...The Best Of The Beatles From Fabulous...was one of the early ones, published in September 1964.
It was published by Fleetway Publications, England.
It's 24 pages of all color photographs. The magazine is larger than average. Measures 10 by 13 inches.
Features great oversized photos of the Fab Four with some brief commentary that every fan wanted to know, their bios.
This staple-bound magazine is in near-mint condition. Never opened till we took a couple of photos. The only one as good as this one could have been bought in 1964. This magazine has been securely warehoused since then.
