Original Baseball PM10 Player Photo Pins c1947 to 1960s

These pins are all ORIGINAL, circa late 1940s to the early 1960s.

These pins were sold at the baseball stadiums by the souvenir vendors over a span of many years.

These pins are standard size... 1 3/4 inches across. These player portrait pins are in black and white with celluloid topping the photos on tin backs.

The players include Alvin Dark, Dick Bartell (N.Y. Giants), Mike Higgins, Bill Monbouquette, Eddie Bressoud, and Mel Parnell (Boston), Cliff Melton, Lou Boudreau, Bob Feller (Cleveland), and Larry Doby (Chicago).

These pins were made with slight variations over the years but these are the most collectible in black and white and size.

Pin backs have varied signs of age tarnish, much of which comes off with an eraser. Seven of the pins have the raised Union stamp on the back...three don't but these are all old and original. These came from the pin manufacturers who made these for the stadiums. We've owned these for over 50 years.

The Higgins pin shows dark shading on his face but this is in the printing and not on the surface. All fronts are in excellent vintage condition with no foxing or notable issue.

We used to sell these pins individually but due to lack of time, we're offering this lot of 10 original pins to one interested baseball collector or dealer.
