Carol Dauplaise began her career in the jewelry industry as a receptionist with Miriam Haskell and worked her way up the ladder to serve as president of the company in the mid-1970s. Then she started her own jewelry company which was a great success till she died in 2016.

This pin stands out among pins. Not just the generous size of it...3 3/4 by 2 3/4 inches. It's also the design of the big silvertone oval with openwork vines of clear crystal rhinestones surrounding the faux white pearl. Lots to look at and admire.

Dauplaise worked with Miriam Haskell for a long time, from 1959 to 1978. Can you imagine all the things she learned there...and then evolved her own creativity into her own jewelry company. Impressive.
