This is so funny. And embarrassing.
We didn't notice that this pendant was signed till just now when I saw the gold signature pop out in the photo. It had just blended into the enamel design. Turns out, we can't make out the signature which seems to be about 10 letters long. So that's an added bonus to what is already a great piece of mid-century enamel art work jewelry.
This is two-sided, signature and all. The signature side curves inward with a turquoise enamel center and sides of orange and black, gold and copper. The other side domes up in a bright red, black and white design.
The pendant measures 1 5/8 inches across by 3 1/4 inches long. The added goldtone sturdy snake chain measures 24 inches long.
Whomever the artist that made this necklace, he/she made the most of the two sides as each one is colorful and abstract and reflects the op-art, do-your-thing style of the era.
Excellent vintage condition. (Maybe we need to get new glasses.)
