You like 'different'? This is different. It was made in Western Germany circa 1950s.

The necklace features an embossed metal pendant, enameled in black, green and yellow. The center figure of an ethnic woman with her baby in a pouch on her back is overlaid on the scalloped circle. Her earring and headdress are African style.

The pendant measures 2 1/4 inches each way and hangs from a black enamel link chain. It measures 24 inches. There's no clasp but it's long enough to go over the head easily.

The necklace weighs 30.8 grams. The mid-century jewelry of Western Germany was usually made of light metals and this one looks heavier than it actually is.

The tag on the back says MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY.

Excellent vintage condition. Beautifully 'different'.
