We don't know who J.P. was but he/she was very good at carving out a square of sterling silver.

This pendant is a mid-century Modernist piece with symbols and designs carved in a way that makes them stand out. We think we see a tree, a teepee, an 'X', other shapes to be guessed.

The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches each way. It hangs from a paper clip like chain made of silvertone metal. It's non-magnetic, maybe silverplate. The pendant tests for sterling silver.

The chain measures 28 inches long. The necklace weighs 22.6 grams.

Chain can be polished. Pendant necklace is in excellent vintage condition. Circa 1950s / 1960s.
