There's something about jade. It always looks important.

This estate jade necklace has a thick hand-carved pendant featuring an animal that looks like a ram.
There's a lot of detail going on with the ram holding something in his mouth...maybe dinner or...a torch?

The color of the jade is a pale whitish minty green. It has beautiful natural nuances in it with a smooth polished surface.

Pendant measures 1 1/2 inches across by 2 inches high. The silvertone bezel has a filigree design.

The sterling silver chain measures 16 inches around. It's marked 925 (for sterling) - Italy.

Necklace weighs 40.5 grams.

Excellent vintage condition.
What looks important may actually BE important but for now, this genuine jade necklace is at least a beautiful one.
