It's a brooch or a pendant and it's a vintage throwback to the days of knickers and capes and voluminous dresses.
This romantic couple is transferware art on porcelain by Fragonard, a romanticist for sure since he was known for his 'couples' art.
The pendant or pin (can be worn either way) has the couple framed in goldtone filigree, prong-set turquoise glass stones, curlicues, and a tassel at the bottom. It measures 1 1/4 by 3 3/4 inches (with tassel). It has a secure rollover clasp on the back.
The chain is gold-filled and measures 18 inches around.
This is circa 1950s though the aura is very Victorian...in excellent condition.
