Where is Sherlock Holmes when you need him?
This pin is such a mystery, even Sherlock would probably be stymied.

Just look at this pin. It's two parts. It's well-sized. It's gold over brass. It's early 19th Century...Victorian.

The top banner is overlaid with the letters L.P.T. The big brass loop holds a five-point star with a bird on top.
The pin measures just over 2 by 3 inches.

This could be military. Maybe Fraternal. Maybe it stands for 'Let's Play Tennis' or 'Looking Pretty Terrific'. Maybe it just happens to be your initials.

Whatever the letters stand for, we may never know. But the pin stands for a great-looking old pin, with a nice golden olden patina. Back has the original ~C~ clasp.

It's in excellent vintage condition.
