We once had a good friend (now gone) who wrote for a newspaper and covered the art world. He used to get tons of press releases that described the art of artists...both new ones and established ones. They were hilarious to read because most of them used every adjective in the dictionary...to the point where you had no clue what they were writing about. We won't do that.

Let's just say...this is a great original painting by someone whose name we can't quite make out. Our best attempt is Juanita Barrera but there's no such artist that we can find.

You look at a painting and you either like it or you don't. We really like this one. It's soft and pleasing. The colors are nice. The subject is lovely. The mood is positive. She's wearing a gown-like dress and seems to be contemplating where in the vase to put the flowers in her hand. And that's it. (We only used five adjectives because you can decide for yourself.)

The framed painting measures 17 by 21 inches. It's framed in a gold wood frame (no glass) about 1 inch wide. It seems perfect for the mood of the painting.

Seems to be in excellent vintage condition. Back is wired and ready to hang up.
