This antique solid bronze award medal was given by the School Art League Of New York City to a talented student...FOR FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP.

The medal measures 1 by 1 1/2 inches. The front shows a woman artist looking at her work. The back is marked by medal maker R. STOLL N.Y.

Since the medal was a special achievement for the recipient crafter, it was attached to a fitting Victorian watch chain, made of goldplate on brass or goldfill. Chain measures 12 inches long with a toggle bar on one end and the clasp on the other.

Chain and medal weigh 26.5 grams.

Nicely aged patina. Age appropriate wear to the chain.

Very good antique condition.
