Sweden c1970 ALTON - KE Palmberg Bronze Modernist Pendant Necklace - image 1 of 5

No one makes jewelry like Scandinavian artisans. It's always unique. One look and you know it's something you don't see often (if ever).

This pendant necklace is a great rare modernist piece made of solid bronze. It was created by famous jewelry designer K.E. Palmberg for ALTON in Sweden, circa 1970s.

The pendant is a hefty sold bronze medallion with a long oval split down the middle. The sides are thick with a moonscape surface texture.

Pendant measures 1 7/8 inches across by 2 1/4 inches long. With the elongated bronze bail the pendant is 3 1/4 inches long. It's 1/4 inch thick.
It hangs from the original 30-inch chain of bronze links with a secure spring ring clasp. Weighs 61 grams.

Bail is marked ALTON with the K.E. PALMBERG hallmark.

Excellent vintage condition.
