What a necklace! When I'm sitting here, searching for 'the word' and coming up with 'duh', then I know I'm beyond impressed.

Well, here goes...fantastic. Genuine jade. Jadeite jade. White carved jade. Melon ball jade. Jumbo gumball-size jade. They're all here.

This necklace is very impressive. Those 3 genuine Jadeite beads in the center are 1 inch wide...25mm each. The white jade melon beads are about 16mm wide. There are two gold-filled melon beads and two openwork goldtone beads.

It all adds up to 16 inches around, 1 inch wide, and a weight of 187.3 grams....that's about 6 1/2 ounces of genuine jade magic.

The jade beads were tested and moved the needle to 'JADEITE'.

The large gold-filled spring ring clasp is unmarked but tests for gold-filled. You can also see that it was made to hold a whopper this big and bold.

Though the necklace measures 16 inches long when laid flat, the thickness of it makes it a little shorter when worn around the neck.

The 3 green jade beads have a couple of tiny nicks that appear to be natural nuances in the stone. The center bead has a gilt metal circle...no clue why it's there.

Necklace is in overall excellent estate condition. (The previous owner liked her necklaces big, bold, expensive, custom-made, statement worthy, and unique.)
