Elsa Schiaparelli was one of the most influential designers of the 20th Century and her costume jewelry is still among the most coveted to collectors.

She used glass stones, crystals and cabochons in an array of shapes and colors never seen before. She used moon rocks, aurora borealis stones, pearls dyed to match the stones, iridescent glass seashells.

These clip earrings are signed SCHIAPARELLI. They hold a big melon shaped iridescent cabochon with blue aurora borealis and smoky gray crystals set in rhodium-plated silvertone metal.

Measure 7/8 by 1 inches. Clips are secure.
