This vintage Taxco sterling silver set is beyond Modernist. It's somewhere around Futurist Wowist.

The pin and clip back earrings are made of solid sterling silver. Each piece is cut in a zig-zag half and reconnected with a link at each end. Topping each piece are 3 raised balls of mixed metals...silver, brass and copper.

The pin measures 2 by 1 3/8 inches. The earrings are 1 inch across by 1 1/2 inches long. Together, the set weighs 35.6 grams.

Each piece is signed MEXICO 925 - TM-84. Secure rollover clasp and clip back hinges.

Because of the two-part design, these pieces show movement, almost able to fold in half but not quite. They also remind us of envelopes.

Set is in excellent vintage condition. Polished patina. Very unique.
