Those Victorian folks really liked gold. Even the costume jewelry was made with lots of gold plating or something called 'pinchbeck' that looked like gold. And they did a great job of it. Even the faux gold looked real and impressive.

This pretty little Victorian faker looked so good we had to test it to be sure.

The goldtone setting is so nice with waves of overlay that look a bit like a French fleur de lis design. In the center, there's a beautiful translucent amber glass stone. It's beveled all around.

Pin measures 1 3/4 inches across by 1 1/4 inches high. It weighs 11.3 grams.

Back has the original secure ~C~ clasp.

Slight signs of age and wear but overall in excellent antique condition. And definitely, very goldy.
