This is a powerhouse of a bracelet. It's solid sterling set with five large stones of jasper and what looks like topaz or quartz. There's a decorative twisting rope of silvered copper around the inner edge of the bracelet and bands of sterling beads around the stone bezels.

The handmade bracelet measures 6 inches end-to-end silver with a 1 1/2 inch gap for a total of 7 1/2 inches around. The cuff is 1 5/8 inches wide. It weighs 111.5 grams.

The inside is marked STERLING and hand signed JAMES COLQUITT. He appears to have been a man of many trades. What little we could find on him as a jewelry designer says he was..."an avid adventurer, mountain climber, competitive marathoner and a former rancher." He designed unique jewelry inspired by his world travels under the name James Colquitt Designs. It no longer exists. Fortunately, this Colquitt bracelet still does.
