This is humbling.
After having collected Bakelite since Columbus landed in America, I'm embarrassed to say that this pair of slim old plastic bangle bracelets are not what I thought they were. I just tried to test them for Bakelite (3 different ways) and nothing confirmed it.

These do seem to have a 'coating' of something so maybe that's what's in the way of confirmation.

So let's just call them 'old plastic' with painted on stripes of green and brown on what looks like orange/mustard.

These measure 2 1/2 inches across the opening. Together, they're 1/2 inch wide.

I know they're vintage and good and interesting (based on where I got them) but exactly what they are????...old plastic.
