There's lots of fancy hand work decorating the top of this antique Victorian pin. The rolled-gold plated bar pin is heavily engraved with intricate terminals, overlayed bars and taille d'epargne enameling in the center.
The pin measures 2 1/2 inches across by 3/4 inch wide. These were perfectly shaped to wear at those high Victorian collars and today, they still look fine at a collar or along a lapel.
The back has a secure ~C~ catch. The pin is still beautifully bright with no obvious wear to the gold plating (over brass). A tiny skip in the black enameling but overall, this pin is in excellent condition. Circa 1880s.
