Folk lore says that when an elephant has its trunk up in the air, it's a sign of good luck. If that's true, this one is loaded with good luck because not only is the trunk way up, but the elephant appears to be smiling.
Made by Goebel, German maker of fine decorative art pieces, the frosted (or satin) glass elephant stands on a clear crystal base. It measures 5 1/4 inches high by 3 1/2 inches across.
The bottom is marked GOEBEL c1985. Condition is excellent...no flaws at all on this lucky pachyderm. (Those funny little things you see on the base are just light reflections and aren't on the actual glass.)
