When you see a handsome goldtone horse with a beautiful flowing mane, clutching a large faux pearl, what's the first thing you think of?

Paris, of course. Where else would they think of such a great figural pin? This one was made by Orena. The French jewelry company Orena created high-end costume jewelry under the brand Orena Paris from 1977 to 2005. All the production process was hand-made (enameling, assembling, polishing, etc). Orena used gold and silver tone alloy. As seen in this horse pin, they also used large faux pearls and red crystals for an eye.

Orena's high quality and craftsmanship enabled them to produce jewelry for such famous brands as Lanvin, Balenciaga, Pierre Balmain, and Helena Rubinstein.

What's good enough for these couture names is good enough for us and this horse.

Back is marked ORENA PARIS (faintly marked). Secure rollover clasp. Measures 2 by 2 1/8 inches.

Don't say 'neigh' to this one. It's a rare one in excellent vintage condition.
