This Kenneth Lane faux pearl necklace takes the classic pearl necklace to triple heights.

It's three strands with the shortest being 18 inches around. The faux pearls are 8mm wide. The strands are 1 inch wide. They're hand-knotted in between. They're probably made of pearlized glass so they glow with a luster that real pearls would envy. They fall straight in a row. Or twist them into a torsade. And then there's the clasp.

It's the KJL goldtone clasp. If the pearls are the vanilla sundae, the clasp is the iconic initial topping of the great jewelry designer, Kenneth J. Lane. You can wear the clasp at center or along the side because this is a clasp you're happy to flaunt. It measures 1 3/4 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. The necklace weighs 99 grams.
