It's modernist, minimalist, and simplistic. It's so fine it's almost non-existent.
This vintage sterling silver cuff bracelet was made by a big, highly collectible name...Ronald Hayes Pearson (1924 - 1996).
He was an American metalsmith whose career spanned 50 years. Pearson is regarded as one of the most influential figures in American metalsmithing. Pearson’s forged metal pieces emphasize clarity of form over surface ornamentation. Or simply put, his artistic stuff didn't need the fluff.
This early Pearson cuff bracelet has a hand-hammered surface on top of flattened plateaus. The sides are waved.
This is a small size...measures 5 inches, end-to-end silver. The opening gap is 1 1/8 inches. Total is 6 1/8 inches around (perfect for a 6 inch wrist). Bracelet weighs 9.9 grams. Inside is signed PEARSON STERLING.
Excellent vintage condition. A true example of less is more.
