This little miniature sterling silver mirror was made to hang from a Victorian chatelaine at the waist but is equally lovely on a silver chain around the neck.
The ornate mirror is decorated with a repousse Asian theme...a man in fancy clothing and big hat. Looks like there's a Bird of Paradise over his head and other Chinese style motifs around him.
The mirror measures 1 1/2 by 3 inches. There's a large loop for hanging. Just to the right of the man, there are three hallmarks...a lion with crown, a rooster, and a flower. These appear to be silver hallmarks though we couldn't identify the country or maker.
There are a few 'ghostly' spots to the mirror but it's beautifully beveled around the edge and you can still see how gorgeous you are. Very ornate and unique. Circa 1900.
