This is a great old Taxco sterling silver clamper bracelet in excellent vintage condition.

The bracelet is inlaid with slabs of polished abalone shell all around. The shell is seamlessly set, a high-quality bracelet made by a talented Mexican silversmith.

The inside is marked TA-164 MEXICO 925.

Bracelet measures 7 1/4 inches around the inside. The top is 2 inches wide. Weighs 60 grams.

Now...look at the top of the bracelet (first photo). Is it our imagination or do those two ends look like bird heads with beaks and abalone shell eyes? We think TA-164 was trying to see if we were paying attention. They do look a little birdy to us.
