Here's some bold Mod drama from the 1970s. Fabulous REVUE eyeglasses. (These are prescription which can be changed to your prescription or just regular sunglasses.)
These were made in France for Revue Eyewear who were known for their high fashion, high quality eyeglasses since the 1960s. George Adin, the designer of the line from the beginning, was an icon in the eyewear industry, designing trend-setting eyeglass styles worn by Paul Newman and many other celebrities. Mr. Adin was known for an eclectic European style, influenced by Venetian decorative motifs. Frames were made from the best-available materials of the time, and these were hand-made in France circa 1970s.
The clear frames have a champagne tint, set with glittering clear crystal rhinestones over the top and sides. The glasses are oversized, as was the style back then (a la Jackie O) and the arms are curved from the bottom up.
These measure 5 1/2 inches across the bottom by 2 1/4 inches at the lens (with frame). The arms measure 5 inches long. The inside arms are marked REVUE FRAME FRANCE and J 1 211 52/20.
These are in excellent vintage condition with rhinestones intact and bright.
