It's much more than cute, sweet, and adorable. It's a survivor.

This antique hand-beaded miniature handbag is about 140 years old and it's still hoping for a long future in your collection.

The pretty floral design is on both sides in yellow, blue, lavender, and green. The molded brass frame is stamped with flowers. You push the button down to open. It locks securely.

The most notable flaws are the slightly tattered black lining inside and what is probably a missing tassel at the tip of the bag.

Speaking of tassels, those two long brown tassels at the sides remind us of a basset hound's ears...a purse with a touch of humor.

Purse itself measures 3 inches across by 4 inches high. The brown cord handle is about 6 inches to center. Tassel 'ears' are 4 1/2 inches long.

Overall in very good antique condition. Circa 1880. Oh what stories it could tell.
