This antique Victorian era ring belonged to a man who was a Moose. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and he had a size 14 ring finger. Obviously, a big guy...maybe an athlete.
The ring is gold-filled. Inside is marked 14K G S with a hallmark stamp that looks like a Maltese cross.
The top of the ring features the head of a Moose. The letters L.O.O.M. act as its collar. Some of the red enamel that was once around the letters still remains. The sides of the ring are ornate repousse scroll work.
Ring is size 14 (can be resized by a jeweler). It weighs 6.9 grams.
Age appropriate wear but overall in very good antique condition. Circa 1900.
