We think John Lennon would have loved these for their odd shape.
These retro Linda Farrow of London sunglasses are circa 1970s and are cut straight at the outer ends. The still have the original tag and sticker. The frames are part goldtone wire and part 'no frame' plastic of the lens. The arms are goldtone metal. The lens are dark green. (Note...our manikin head is not as big as a human head so these look slightly big on her but will fit most adults.)
These measure 4 3/4 inches across the top of the frame, arm to arm. They're 1 1/2 inches high at the lens. The arms are 5 inches long with curled ear wires. The arms open smoothly.
I have a special affection for Linda Farrow sunglasses. My British uncle Julian was married to Linda Farrow and for decades they ran the company, selling their sunglasses to the top stores in England and all over Europe. Then their kids (my actual 'British cousins') took the company to new heights, creating sunglasses for Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Elton John, Yoko Ono and many others. My uncle once told me that they used the best optical hinges available and that their components were the same as those of the most expensive sunglasses made at the time. I can attest to the fact that I've worn retro Farrows since I got them in the late 1980s from Farrow's London warehouse and I've NEVER had a pair break on me. I still wear the same 2 or 3 styles and they still look as cool as ever.
These sunglasses are marked FARROW on inside arm with style number. These are in excellent unworn vintage condition.
