This little elk's tooth represents the big fraternal order known as BPOE...Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The group was founded in 1868 as a New York City social group but went on to do many charitable things for the world.
This stickpin is from the Victorian era. It's gold-filled with the enamel symbol of the Elk's clock at 11 o'clock over the head of a well-antlered Elk's head.
Pin measures 1/4 by 1/2 inch at the tooth by 2 1/2 inches long for the entire pin.
Looks great on a jacket / coat lapel or stick it on a tie for some retro fraternal nostalgia.
Excellent antique condition.
