Sigma Phi Epsilon, commonly known as SigEp, is a social college fraternity for male college students in the United States. It was founded in 1901 at Richmond College. It was founded on three principles: Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. Here's a little of that love right here...

This is an original vintage SigEp 'sweetheart' piece of jewelry. It's a heart pendant necklace, made of sterling silver.

The heart is black enamel with the insignia of the Fraternity raised in silver. The crest has the crown, the star and sword, a Maltese cross with the lamp of knowledge in the center. Below are the Greek letters for Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Heart measures 3/4 by 1 inch. The original chain measures 18 inches. Both pieces are marked STERLING.

Unpolished silver patina. Excellent vintage condition.
