This is definitely a strange one. It's a cupid with wings and bow and arrow, sitting atop a flower that has tendrils spilling out at the bottom. There's a nice semi-translucent green stone that's either jade, chrysoprase, or calcedony. Not sure which but it's a lovely genuine gemstone.
The cupid pendant tests for sterling silver that has been gold-plated. The wide bail which it hangs from is fancy brass. So with both the gold and silver tone components, we added a thick sturdy gold-plated sterling silver chain.
The pendant was obviously artisan crafted (unsigned) and is stamped 925 for silver. It measures 1 1/4 inches across by 3 3/4 inches long to bottom of the tendrils. The vintage chain measures 24 inches around and is marked 925 ITALY. It's a thick herringbone weave at 1/8 inch wide. The entire necklace weighs 34.6 grams.
There's some wear to the goldplating but overall condition is very good. If you don't need the chain, we'll deduct $20.
This cupid is a very captivating piece. We've been staring at it for a long time and now it's time for it to fly on to the next adventure.
