This is not your ordinary Coro bracelet.
This 1940s link bracelet shows the strong influence of Hector Aguilar, the Mexican silver maestro who in 1943, entered into an agreement with Coro to design and produce jewelry for them.
This bracelet has a highly stylized bird design, instantly recognizable as the design style of Aguilar. It's made of silver-plated metal with a very Mexican crafting technique, down to the textured back and recessed oxidized background on the bird links. Most likely made in the U.S.A. Coro factory since there's no 'Mexico' mark.
Bracelet is marked CORO with the Pegasus hallmark used in the 1940s.
Bracelet measures 7 inches long by 1 3/8 inches wide. Secure foldover clasp. Slight wear to the hallmark link but overall in excellent vintage condition.
