NOT reprints...these are original Art Deco era 8 by 10 sepia-tone photographs of film star Mary Pickford (born Gladys Louise Smith) 1892 – 1979).
Pickford was a Canadian-born American film actress and producer. With a career spanning 50 years, she was a co-founder of both the Pickford–Fairbanks Studio (along with Douglas Fairbanks) and, later, the United Artists film studio (with Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin and D. W. Griffith). She was one of the original 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who present the yearly "Oscar" award ceremony.
These four photographs are circa 1935. In two of them, she's shown holding her book THE DEMI-WIDOW, published that year. In the other two photos, Pickford sits in a satiny gown next to some type of moderne gizmo, possibly a radio (?).
The photos are all printed on glossy photo stock and they have a sepia tone color. They show slight signs of age when the light hits a certain way.
Overall, photos are in excellent vintage condition. Circa 1935. Old and original.
