When it comes to creating a sword pin, Nettie Rosenstein made one that's a cut above the rest. In fact, it's spectacular.
The pin is a two-part pin. It's solid sterling silver with a wash of gold vermeil. The sword handle is set with rows of seed pearls and tiny crystal rhinestones. The textured 'rope' attachment that flows up and over the sword ends up as the chain attachment to the front point of the sword. It's all solid sterling silver. Each part of the pin has its own secure rollover clasp on the back.
Pin is signed STERLING - NETTIE ROSENSTEIN.
The pin (when placed together) measures 4 1/2 inches across the sword. It's 2 1/2 inches from top to bottom of the sword (not including the chain). The chain measures 7 inches long. That means you can wear the two-part pin across a collar, a wide lapel, on a hat...wherever there's space for something unique and beautiful.
Some of the vermeil has worn off so the surface is a speckle of gold and silver. We haven't polished the pin. The stones / pearls are all intact, securely set.
Pin weighs 35 grams.
