The 1933 - 34 Chicago World's Fair was called A CENTURY OF PROGRESS International Exposition. It was held in Chicago to celebrate the city's centennial. The theme of the fair was technological innovation. It was also the height of the Art Deco era.
This 1933 souvenir cuff bracelet is cobalt blue enamel on brass. It's engraved with 7 vignettes of the exhibits, buildings, and the center symbol of the Fair...an Art Deco globe representing our planet leaving a comet-like streak.
The bracelet measures about 7 inches around the inside by 1 1/4 inch wide at center. There are a couple minor ripples in the cuff but nothing too distracting from the graphics. Overall, the bracelet is in very good vintage condition.
Great souvenir of a memorable Fair whose motto was..."Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Adapts".
