A little teamwork makes for a pair/set of great earrings. These football player earrings are made of hard celluloid. The charms were made in Occupied Japan (1946 to 1949) and each one is hand-painted in red, green or navy blue. They hang from silvertone wires for pierced ears.
The earrings measure about 3 inches long. Backs are marked JAPAN but they came out of little bags marked 'Made in Occupied Japan' (see photo).
The set of 3 earrings can be worn in any combination of 2 but if you have an extra piercing you've got the extra earring.
Excellent vintage condition. It's good to have a team on your side.
