It was a hot town. And we're not talking temperature. A 1956 issue of Cabaret Quarterly, a now-defunct tourism magazine, describes Havana as "a mistress of pleasure, the lush and opulent goddess of delights."
The rich and famous went there to play in the 1950s and then the tourists followed and had to bring back an exotic hot little bauble for Aunt Grace. Maybe a handmade bracelet made of painted seashells and curving tin metal like this one.
It measures 7 1/4 inches long by 5/8 inch wide. It's light in weight, folk artsy in style, and sassy in looks.
Excellent vintage condition. The end link is etched CUBA. Circa 1950s.
