In 1943, Isidro Garcia Pina named his new taller MARICELA after his daughter. He designed and produced silver jewelry till 1986 when the shop closed.

This MARICELA pin is also a pendant. It's 925 sterling silver with an oxidized blackened recess. The overlaid silver image is that of a Mayan Warrior, running with a weapon in each hand.

The pin measures 1 5/8 inches across by 2 1/4 inches high. It weighs 16.9 grams. The back has both a secure rollover clasp and an attached bail for a chain.

The back is hallmarked MARICELA - TASCO - HECHO EN MEXICO - STERLING - 925 - EAGLE 3. This hallmark was used from 1943 to 1955.

Pin / pendant is in excellent vintage condition. It's a fine old pin by a great Taxco silversmith.
