This old pin looks like a relic Indiana Jones might have found in the ruins of a Tibetan temple. It's a handmade piece, crafted from hammered brass, outlined and inlaid with genuine turquoise and coral stones.
If you look closely, you'll see there are two figures, one atop the other. These symbolize Tibetan Buddhas or Deities of which there are many. The figures rise up about 1/2 inch from the plaque.
The pin measures 2 1/4 inches across by 2 3/8 inches high. The back has a secure original ~C~ clasp. The stones are all intact though the handmade brass outlines are not precisely symmetrical (part of its charm). The aged patina shows slight verdigris/soil in the grooves but overall condition is very good.
Great old ethnic folk art piece from Tibet, circa 1930s.
