It was 1958. Jimmy Hoffa was President. And the Teamsters Union hosted an Eastern Conference.
This money clip is a souvenir from the event. It's made of nickel on brass. The front has a map outline of the Eastern states that participated. The B. of T. C. W. & H. of A. emblem with double horse heads is below. The year ~ 1958 ~ is engraved at the top. The back has the maker's mark with their union stamp.
The money clip measures 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. It shows slight separation which indicates this union brother had a few dollars to spend.
The clip is in used but good condition...still functional. It's a relic from one of the most important groups in America.

James Riddle Hoffa was the American labor union leader who served as the President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) union from 1957 until 1971. He vanished in late July 1975, at age 62.
