This vintage pin is a perfect circle...like the sun...and the 'rays' are Petit Point turquoise stones hand set in sterling silver. This is old Native American Zuni...unmarked and beautiful.
The Zuni Indians are known to be exceptional Lapidary craftsmen. They started cutting turquoise into needle shaped stones about 1930. Every piece takes many hours to make and the craftsmanship is obvious.
The pin measures 1 1/2 inches across. The back has a secure rollover clasp. It's in excellent condition.
