Who could say 'Neigh' to this unique old dish from the Arts & Crafts era? It's handwrought of solid bronze...a horse in the center of a horseshoe. The horse is very detailed in high raised relief. There's a mystery copper 'spot' on the rein and when you turn the dish over, you see the copper plug that makes the spot. We believe this is the artisan's 'signature'...there are no other markings. The dish measures 3 5/8 by 4 3/8 inches. It has 'legs' that make it 1 inch high. We haven't polished it as the original aged patina gives it character. This dish is a great horse lover's piece...that face is compelling.
