With multi-level ornamentation, this Victorian bar pin is rolled gold on brass with taille d'epargne black enameling. It shows very detailed hand work.
Circa 1880, these bar pins were usually worn at the collar. The pin measures 2 1/2 by 5/8 inches. The old 'C' clasp was at some point replaced with a more secure rollover clasp. There's slight edge wear to gold at bottom and a bit of enamel loss on the top. Both are negligible and in keeping with the age of this antique pin. Overall, it hasn't lost its beautiful glow.
