Their motto should have been...'Aetna...they don't forget ya'. At least it would seem that way from the looks of this nice old sewing premium they gave away to clients.
Circa early 1900s. It's made of celluloid that's printed with the company name on one side...AETNA LIFE INSURANCE CO....and all they insured is on the verso. The agent's name and Concord, New Hampshire office address is also on the back.
The thin celluloid insert inside held some sewing needles which are long gone. The premium case is still in excellent condition. Measures 1 3/8 by 2 1/4 inches. Patented June 1905...made by Whitehead & Hoag, makers of early pins, premiums and novelty items. A rare old advertising / sewing collectible.
