This little lady is one of the most unique and pretty Japanese Gofun dolls I've seen. An unusual example of an Ichimatsu Ningyo doll in that she is a girl of tender age, not a lady or toddler as is often seen. She is just wonderful with her traditional elaborate kimono and obi done in rich brocades. Darling expression to her pale face with glass eyes. Gofun is crushed oyster shell and creates wonderful realism in the modeling. She measures 12" high and condition is great but she is missing her hands. Still a nice display item. Fabric could be draped over the openings. Circa 1950s.
