Beautifully designed Art Deco era rhinestone necklace made in Czechoslovakia (signed), circa 1925. This necklace was made at the height of the Art Deco movement and is evocative of the use of strong geometric design elements during the 1920's Jazz age. The shield shaped pendant features a cut out design which lends to the interest. It is embellished with round and Marquise shaped rhinestones in various sizes fan out in a lacy openwork pattern which is outstanding. The pendant hangs from a neck chain with rhinestone embellished elongated links and two fancy side links with large Marquise shaped stones that compliment the central pendant. A gorgeous Art Deco period necklace with lots of sparkle. Much better in person than the photos show. The pendant measures 1 5/8" by 1 1/4" and the overall length with chain when laid end to end measures 17". Great Condition with no missing stones.
